Another month over. After the slowness of January, the rest of this year sure does seem to be going in fast. So,as mentioned last month, most of the stressful work with school was over so April was pretty much just revision as far as school went.Hair wise,I'm feeling ok.Not brilliant, and still majorly pissed off.But I'm getting back to the happier way I was a few months ago.Church wise, done a lot of flag dancing to a song that really means a lot to me [Praise You In The Storm - Casting Crowns, see lyrics and you'll perhaps see what I mean.] which I found quite hard to face but I felt good afterwards.Finished up fourth year yesterday. Was really weird to think that as I was saying goodbye to some people,I wasn't going to ever see them again properly as they're not coming back for fifth year.Got back on good terms with a person who my relationship with has been rocky over the past few years. Was happy that we sorted things out before she left school. We've agreed to stay in touch and she's also coming along to church on Sunday, which she used to before we kinda fell out. It's good to be on exam leave, but slightly stressful knowing that I have 8 exams ahead of me.I'm strangely not that nervous about them though - that might be a bad sign?Yep so all in all,April's been pretty good.
Films
Yet again,no films in the cinema. You'll be wondering how on earth I actually call myself a film fan!?
Dvd wise, I didn't buy any,but I borrowed a couple and watched a few with my friends.
Ed Wood Yet another Tim Burton creation involving the wonderful Johnny Depp. However, although I have a habit of blindly buying anything Depp is involved with or that Burton is the brains behind, after borrowing this one from my friends,I was, although intrigued, slightly let down.Seems to me like nothing much actually happened over the course of the film.Though it did take me five different attempts to watch it without falling asleep [not because it was boring, just because I was watching it at night lol] so perhaps I missed something? It has,and this might be a bad thing, made me want to at least experience some of Ed Wood's infamous films.I'll let you know how that goes.
Secret Window Yes,Depp again. Not actually watched it yet. Let you know how that goes.
Strangers With Candy Watched this one with friends.Rather hilarious and an overall humerous reminder that age means nothing.
I Know Who Killed Me Lindsay Lohan's latest film. It recieved awful reviews, and I can, in a way understand. The plot has holes to say the least, the acting is not anything special, the directing leaves more than a little to be desired and the editing, well lets just not go there. However,in spite of all these factors that would apparently make a film that I would despise,I still vaguely enjoyed it.It's an interesting concept and I did enjoy watching it.The fact that I knew who the killer was from the beginning [well who wouldn't, close ups on hands, feet, pianos etc..?]was kind of a down point though.
Quotability
Ashton: I like it to be hard with a crunch in it. But not like an 'Ah I broke my teeth' crunch.
Gina: Hip,Knees,Tickle!
Lynette[Desperate Housewives]: God this is annoying! I can't believe you didn't tell me we had a possum!
Lee [I think?Desperate Housewives]: She has a gay son, she must be homo-friendly
The Partner [Can't remember his name]: Why?My mother does and she isn't.
Jerri [Strangers With Candy]: Faggot
Teacher: What did you say!?
Jerri: What did you hear?
Teacher: I don't want to repeat it
Jerri: Then I guess we'll never know

It's been a funny month this month.
Tv
Lost Was pretty much not on for most of April until last week. Last weeks, although interesting,I didn't find it very enjoyable. But then again,I never do find Ben enjoyable.
Desperate Housewives Very good season, last nights episode being particularly good [the halloween one].
Heroes Yep it's back!I've waited a long time for this! Although episode one was good, it was nowhere near as good as episode one of season one. Doesn't look set to be nearly as interesting a season, but then again, I already knew that was going to be the case. Still, I'll be watching religiously.
Overall
Overall,April was a pretty good month.Very laid back and relaxed and I got a lot of time to sort my head out which,I finally realised, was much needed.I'm eagerly awaiting the end of May as I go on holiday to Florida on the 5th of June. That will be a much welcomed relief after the stress of exams.Am currently on exam leave and my first exam is on Tuesday [6th May].I'm not too worried about exams, although finding the motivation to revise is proving to be difficult.I'm going to enjoy being on exam leave though,I'm sure.So I finish April on a bit of a high and with the comfort of only 5 weeks until I'll be lying in the sunny-sunshine of the sunshine state.
Until Next Time
