July has been an average month.I've spent many days doing nothing which has left me a bit bored.I got a volunteering position in Barnardos Bookshop which has had me out of the house one day a week and I've also taken quite a few trips to the cinema this month, which has been great. And a few day trips with my friends also.My hair piece finally arrived this month - after 15 weeks of waiting! However,I've not actually used it properly yet because me and my mum got into an argument about it and I refuse to go back and ask her for help. It's a pride thing
.So,I'm gonna have to get working on putting it in myself before I go back to school.
Films
Ok so this month I've been a frequent visitor to the cinema, seeing four films in total.I've also invested in four new films and enjoyed a couple on the movie channels on tv.So here we go.
Cinema
The Chronicles of Narnia
rince Caspian - A total let down compared to the first film.Wooden acting, repetitive storyline and predictable ending.Read my complete review for more
Mamma Mia! - Fantastic.Feel good film of the year.Good cast and bearable singing, apart from Pierce Brosnan.I thoroughly enjoyed it.Read my complete review for more.
Angus,Thongs and Perfect Snogging - VERY,VERY cheesy. But a once you get over that, its a bit of fun.Very predictable, very cringe worthy fun.Read my complete review for more.
The Dark Knight - Absolute must see.My favourite film of the year by far.I cannot stress enough how much this must be seen in the cinema.Heath Ledger delivers a fantastic performance and the script delivered a dark, tense tale with just the right amount of wit.Read my complete review for more.
Bought
Across The Universe - An artsy musical that makes use of the legendary music by the Beatles.Utterly fantastic. They didn't kill the songs which was a plus and the acting was good.A great film.
Evan Almighty - Seen it in the cinema and liked it so decided to buy it.A bit of fun and Steve Carrel hilarious as always.
From Hell - Another Johnny Depp addition to my collection.A tale of Jack The Ripper.Gory and frightening. An excellent piece.
Deathproof - I rented this film a while back and loved it so decided now was the time to add it to my collection.I loved it just as much on my second viewing as I did on my first. It has an amazing soundtrack and its explosive, action packed and just great in general.
Tv
187 - A film starring Samuel L. Jackson about the hostile environment of some schools.Directed by a teacher it tells the tale of a substitute teacher who, having been previously stabbed by a pupil, relocates to a school in LA.He encounters ridicule and violence at the hands of his pupils.A scary and intense dramatic thriller.Opens your eyes to a few things.Well worth a watch.
Slither - Hilarious horror-comedy.I must admit the reason I watched it was because it starred Nathan Fillion and he's slowly becoming one of my favourite actors, but afterwards,I was very glad that I'd chosen to watch it.Think Shaun of The Dead with aliens and you'll be there. Some hilarious one liners and a utterly ridiculous situation made for an evening of gory fun for me.
Tv
Big Brother - Continues to be rubbish.I don't like any of the housemates other than Lisa and Mikey any more so fingers crossed one of them wins.
Dr. Horrible's Sing Along Blog - Ok so this technically wasn't a tv programme but it was only 40 minutes long so I can't class it as a film. For those of you who don't know, this was the latest creation by Joss Whedon.A hilarious musical masterpiece that's got me aching for Dollhouse to hurry up and be ready
Quotability
Mayor [Slither] - Have you ever seen anything like that?Have you ever heard of anything like that?Me neither and I watch animal planet all the time!
Mayor [Slither] - Martian's a general term meaning from outer space fucker!
Bill [Slither] - Well now, that is some fucked up shit.
Kirsty - Was that a jib at Gemma's paleness?
Me/Gemma - Cross Continental Communication
Gemma - You said ditto
Kirsty - Aye,but then I said jinx
Kirsty - A half to the top of the mountain please
Kirsty - Die bitch
Me - What's that from?
Kirsty - Bambi
Lorelai [Gilmore Girls] - Finger food AKA little balls of attitude.
Daytrips
I've been on a couple of days out this month.Cinema trips aside,I've explored up town, visited IKEA and best of all taken a trip to the beach at North Berwick. Here's some pictures.

"

That day was a lot of fun.We went swimming, played volleyball and just generally had a good time.
Overall
Overall,July was quite a good month.A little boring on the days I didn't do anything but good all the same. Its sad to think that by the time I do my next round up,I'll have been back at school for like a fortnight, got my exam results, been to a sixteenth birthday party and been to a wedding.Looks like it'll be a bit of a jam packed month!
Until Then
