Oui!

Right ok I'll stop with the French now as my memory of the language has sadly lapsed...a lot...in the six months since I stopped taking it at school.

But yep. Some of you might remember how a few months back I came on and asked if anyone knew of the best value for money accommodation in Paris as my friends and I were planning a trip to Paris for this October.

Well,the trip is now booked and I'm rather excited about it!I don't think we could have picked a more appealing city for our first holiday away together and I simply cannot wait to go! We've booked a lovely apartment and it's bang in the city center,just minutes away on the underground from Le Tour Eiffel!

So,to the purpose of this post:
Any hints,tips or recommendations for things to see would be much appreciated. This is to be our first trip away all together and without parents so we want to make the most of it. Experienced travelers let me know some secrets.

Ok so I'm pissed off.
The Oscar Nominations have been announced,and the best film of last year,in my opinion,The Dark Knight,has been left out of the top categories - best motion picture,best actor,best screenplay and best director!Although it did pick up a nomination for best achievment in editing so that i'm pleased about.
But I mean c'mon! I know these awards aren't based on popularity,but there is no denying that this film,that recieved glowing reviews from both critics and the moviegoing public,deserves at least a best picture nomination,if not the award.
Perhaps the snub from that category may have hurt a bit less if Nolan had been recognised for his fantastic direction,but no,yet again he's left out!
Well,here's hoping Heath Ledger gets the best supporting actor award and that the film picks up some of the numerous technical awards it's been nominated for.

Anyone else extremely dissapointed with the Academy's choices this year?

P.S-The Wrestler should've had some bones thrown its way aswell from what I've heard.

Girls are like apples.
The best ones are at the top of the trees.
Boys don’t want to reach for the good ones because they’re afraid they’ll fall and get hurt.

So the apples at the top think there’s something wrong with them, when in reality, they’re amazing.
